Road Haugs handled the “white glove” delivery service for furniture I ordered through Article, but my experience was far from white glove.Following delivery, I discovered damage to my exterior entry step that was not reasonably visible during the delivery itself. I reported this the very next day. The damage is a splintered section of the step with material broken off (photo included), which is consistent with impact from moving heavy furniture across that exact entry path.It’s also worth noting that these steps are covered and not heavily exposed to the elements, which makes the explanation of general wear or weather-related deterioration unlikely. This was a localized break, not gradual wear.Road Haugs denied the claim, stating there was “no proof” and attributing it to age or exposure. However, the physical damage and timing tell a different story.In their response here, they rely heavily on the fact that no damage was noted at the time of delivery. What they do not address is that this type of damage is not always immediately visible during a delivery and was reported promptly upon discovery.They also state that I did not report damage to the dresser. That is incorrect. I reported both the dresser damage and the step damage directly to Article (the retailer), who immediately issued a replacement for the dresser and advised that the property damage claim would be handled through Road Haugs. So the issue was reported—it just followed the process I was instructed to use.I attempted to resolve this directly, but the company has taken a firm position of denying responsibility despite the physical evidence and timing. At this point, the issue appears to be less about what happened and more about avoiding responsibility for it.Based on this experience, I would be cautious when using this company if you are concerned about potential property damage and how claims are handled.

He understood exactly what was needed and even understood my crazy when I spoke about the *very* specific way we were going to have to move things out and transport to two separate locations. We hired Road Haugs for a small moving project. We had George, Malcolm and Raymond. They were above and beyond better than any moving company we have ever used. That says a lot since during our married life, we have moved over 17 times. All three guys were kind, and eager to help in anyway needed. They kept reminding me that I didn’t need to try to help. I recently moved and used United Regions.I am so sorry I did not use Road Hoags. I called them to move the appliances - which were in the garage - into the kitchen. Despite this being a small move they were responsive and their customer service was excellent. They were extremely careful with my appliances. They were gracious about my anxious recently adopted shelter dog. I absolutely will call them for any future move.Their price was fair and did not change.If you are moving, you will be pleased to have used Road Haugs and sad if you do not.
